Talk with Nelson Mandela

(Note: This is just an imaginary interview with the said historical person. The author does not promise to give or show all real or true facts. Some of the facts stated might be just a conclusion. Thank you!)

If I would we given a chance to meet and talk to a historical person, I would choose Mr. Nelson Mandela. It is because I want to know why he pursued his advocacy even if he was not still a president and how he overcome and surpassed all the challenges that he had met while pursuing his advocacy about social justice and democracy.

(Interview/Conversational Script)
Me: Good Afternoon everyone! Today we would have an interview with Mr. Nelson Mandela. He was the President of South Africa from 1994-1999. He is an advocate against racism, poverty and inequality. He is also an advocate of social justice and democracy. He built a foundation named Nelson Mandela Foundation which seeks help for those people who have problems which involves racism, inequality and other problems involving social justice. And now let's give up for Mr. Nelson Mandela!

Mr. Nelson Mandela: Thank you everyone! Thank you Ms. Magsombol! I am very glad that I'm here today with you guys.

Me: Thank you Mr. Mandela for granting our request to have an interview with you. And now let's start. Sir, what is your advocacy all about?

Mr. Nelson Mandela: So, my advocacy is about racism, poverty, inequality, social justice and democracy. Most of the topics that I chose for my advocacy are those that I commonly observe and see in our country and also in other different parts of the world. So, as we all know, discrimination is very common among us blacks. And because of this, I came up with this advocacy and foundation that I know will benefit us.

Me: So you think that if you will build this foundation, then you and your community will gain equal rights and social justice?

Mr. Nelson Mandela: Yes. Actually, it was very hard for me to build this Nelson Mandela foundation at first because you now that we were being discriminated. But because of the determination that we had, we were able to build and encourage other people to join us in our advocacy.

Me: Do you think that this advocacy that you had made the people decide to vote you as their president?

Mr. Nelson Mandela: Uhmm. Maybe yes because somehow they thought of having me as an instrument which will lead our country to have democracy and social justice. And so, when I won the elections, I continued my advocacy and successfully built this foundation which we have now. So in our foundation we encourage everyone to share their problems and then in exchange we will listen to them and give some suggestions and solutions for us to help solve their problem.

Me: Thank you Mr. Nelson Mandela for sharing all those information to us!

Mr. Nelson Mandela: Your welcome! Thank you everyone and goodbye!

Me: And now that we heard all those experiences of Mr. Mandela let's end our show with a happy afternoon! Thank you everyone for watching and see you tomorrow! Bye!

A Book Review: "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare

Summary:
The story of "Romeo and Juliet" was about their unrequited and pure love to one another. Their love story started when Romeo went to the Capulet's traditional feast and saw Juliet. When he immediately saw her, he fell in love with her. Also, Juliet fell in love with Romeo. Because of that, they talked to each other often and send each other letters and messages too. They secretly communicated to one another through Juliet's Nurse. When they finally told each other about their feelings, they decided to get married. Romeo soon arranged their secret marriage together with Friar Lawrence. Their secret marriage became successful. After they got married, Romeo was banished from Verona because he killed Tybalt from an incident that afternoon also. Romeo went to Mantua and bid his farewell to Juliet. Juliet on the other hand was arranged to marry Paris on the next Thursday. Of course, Juliet didn't want to marry Paris so she made a plan with Friar Lawrence. And because Friar Lawrence knew that Juliet was already married to Romeo, he decided to help Juliet with her plan. She gave Juliet a potion that will make her look dead for forty-eight hours. On the night before her wedding, she drank the potion and fell asleep. Soon, their plan became effective for other people really did think that Juliet was already dead. On the other hand, Romeo being concerned to Juliet sends one of his servants, Balthasar to search for Juliet in Verona. Before that, Friar Lawrence sends Romeo a letter containing their plan about Juliet's fake death. But apparently, Romeo wasn't able to receive it. Balthasar saw the funeral of Juliet and soon he reported it to Romeo. Romeo after being informed quickly decided to go back to Verona. But before that, he went to the apothecary to buy a drug that would instantly kill him. When he had it already, he went directly to Juliet's tomb. There he saw Paris and killed him.
